This is a great read for teachers at any point in their career. If you are looking for a refreshing perspective on curriculum design and implementation then this book is a must.
Jonathan Lear writes with humour and intellect – a perfect combination. He reflects on his own experiences, drawing on recent classroom experience to really make you think about your teaching.
Lear is brave in his approach and encourages us to be the same. As teachers, we sometimes appear to try and work to rules that don’t actually exist. Lear supports us to take a more creative approach to teaching and learning and indeed to the curriculum design in our school settings.
We were so inspired by Jonathan’s work that we invited him into school for one of our INSET days – we implemented many of his recommendations and immediately saw the impact this had on the children’s education.
